So does anyone have an explanation for this?

Maybe someone on the code assembly line let a rat slip through. Or maybe it’s some game being played with Yahoo’s referrer logs. Let me know if anyone can figure this out.
As far as these online desktops go, I’m more of a fan of netvibes. For a long time I’ve wanted to get my information off my PC and bring it with me on the road. Netvibes let’s me create a custom start page with some of my most needed items, and I love being able to set it on both my main desktops and my laptop. They also have integrated with Writely and I have access to my documents as well. Not a bad online replacement for my windows desktop.
However it’s nice to see this type of product gaining traction. Now that it’s been copied by both Google and Microsoft, it’s probably here to stay. Honestly, we know that our office applications have a future online, and these are probably the start of our desktop getting it’s own piece of the action.
Hopefully the concept will continue to evolve and improve. Maybe one day all my computers can have the browser boot-up full screen and I can share the exact same experience everywhere I go. Of course I need decent versions of all my main productivity apps online, but we’ll get there soon enough.
